Hi everyone

my galvins need a good wash but unsure what powder to use ( if any). It says online not to use softner but most of the tablets we use is 2 in 1 ( powder and softner together )

i know now I have to tumble drive after the wash but really concerned I coumd use the wrong powder!

Can anyone point us in the right direction?

Cheers !

I have used bold with no issues just make sure they are rinsed properly. If you want to be ultra careful use tech wash by nix wax.

I use Grangers waterproof cleaning stuff. Works well.
I'd be apprehensive about using normal powder, but LP is saying it does the job, so it may well be fine.

Get some Nikwax from th'eBay.

I'd also give your washer a quick rinse spin or something whilst it's empty just to make sure any detergent residue is flushed through.

I've had conflicting reports. Galvin said just wash in the machine with no softener. I spoke to a company in Manchester if I remember about repairing a little Nick on the pocket and said that no detergent or anything should be used!

I just use a liquid like person etc and then table dry. Not had any prov's in the three years I've had them. Also I wash them more through the winter, the trousers get filthy obviously but the jacket tends to lose the beading effect after a while. Quick wash and dry and all honky dory.
