Question about iron shafts

Sorry to be thick, but what does S300 mean? i.e. is it stiff, regular or what?

S300 is stiff
R300 is regular

X300 should be used for building work not golf.

The 300 is some indication of shaft weight. 400 is heavier than 300, 200 is lightweight.
