Quality of The Times golf reporting

There was a story in The Times today about Rory, which quoted a comment on Rory made by Peter Alliss. Only problem was that The Times had got the quote from @TweeterAlliss, a very funny parody twitter account that even says in its bio

'Over 20 professional titles, Course Architect, Doctor of Laws, the outspoken voice of British Golf, but more importantly not Peter Alliss

Journalists are getting very lazy these days.

There was a funny case i saw locally where two guys on a footy forum talking about someone working at the council putting someones letter in the bin and this ended up in the paper as gospel.......
