How the hell can they hold a tour event on a course with some of the worst greens I've ever seen, ill never complain about our greens again

I've seen better greens at my local muni! On the plus side though its reassuring to see tour pros playing on something that isn't a velvet carpet and missing putts us mere mortals miss on a regular basis!

I like the layout, the greens do look worse than my clubs academy course though. I can only presume they look worse than the actually are, lets not forget we are talking about a tour who get preferred lies if the dew has been a bit heavy, so I presume they actually roll better than they look.

Not sure about that, some of the putts I've watched have been bouncing all over the place

Some sort of chemical miscalculation apparently.

They lost half a green where I play early last year in similar circumstances and it has taken till now to be playable again.

Interesting(ish) to see that the leaderboard has Mickleson, Mcilroy, Westwood, Watney and Garcia all there abouts. Maybe they should have one of those goldfinger style flyovers at midnight just before The Open to give the ball striking dodgy putters a chance....

It has been quite openly discussed in the media and down to unprecedented weather over the winter and spring. Much like the UK then and they lost the greens. In previous years this has been a favourite of the players and people like Mickleson have gone on record as saying the green staff need to be cut some slack as the course is a great test for them and it has been down to exceptional conditions

The greens aside the course looks great and will be great for the PGA Championship in 201? Will look even better when the sun comes out.

Why wasn't he? - when watching it on Sky the guys there seemed absolutely certain he'd not replaced it in the spot he'd picked it up from?

He said to the referee at the time of the incident that if there was any doubt over the replacement of the ball to give him a 2 shot penalty there and then. The referee applied no penalty.
