In all my years golfing and despite all the lessons I've had in the last few years I had never had a putting lesson.

My putting can vary from reasonable to terrible and hit a low point with my recent round of 74 that included 38 putts!

I had a quick putting lesson last night as part of a longer short game session. No point going into the details because the changes were quite specific to me but with a few simple changes to setup I believe my putting has greatly improved. And importantly I am now on the right track for practicing and getting better..... hopefully!

Haven't taken it on the course yet - just the practice putting green - but I'm already feeling confident about holing more putts.

I've always dismissed the idea of a putting lesson but I'd now recommend it!

Agree with recommendation. I really enjoyed my butting lesson and came away with plenty of homework. Biggest eye opener was seeing my lower body movement on the vid playback. Have since been working on eliminating this, on ball position, and eye on the correct line.

yes I had one about this time last year and it was a good thing to have done. One eye opener was that often what I thought was a poor judgement of pace was actually caused by making a poor contact/stroke with the ball. By simply getting a more consistent and better roll on the ball my distance control improved no end ( sometimes!).

Well worthwhile.

Always good to follow up, I'm on a course of 5 short game lessons ATM and its made a world of difference. Chipping in to gimmie range about 3 times a round! Makes all the difference if you can get up and down, that needs both good chipping and putting!

I still duff the odd one but its surprising how often I can make the putt.

My changes were all about finding the middle of the club face as everything else was in decent working order. We did straighten out my stroke a little to reduce pushed putts as I was a little bit "garden gate".

Strange thing is I always thought that drive for show putt for dough quote was rubbish. But I recently played in the KO comp I arranged for work and after nine holes I was four down, but I missed three putts from 3 ft to win holes in that time. In essence I coulda been one down after nine and he was playing outta his skin on the front nine and folded a bit on the back but the damage had been done by my shocking putting that day.
It wasn't the fact I missed putts but I just couldn't get it outta my head before I got to the next hole.
normally I would rate my putting at 8-9/10 and that's on our tough greens.

Had a number over the years and been to a SAM Lab. Very insightful each time and the lessons always help. I use a putting mirror regularly to ensure basics are adhered to and the V-Easy makes sure the wrists are trained to be quiet.

Still haven't been on a course with it, and won't be over the next week, but in practice I think my putting has been transformed...... :p

Confidence is certainly high at the moment, Fabian. Can hardly wait to take it on the course!
