prob been done before, but;

I have been taking my glove off to putt, more to stop golfers tan than anything.

Over the winter i was leaving the glove on. once the season started, ive been taking it off. have been putting badly of late so left it on last night and putted really well.

its staying on for the next few rounds, white hand or not;)

what do you do and why?

off, always.. and golfers tan...in scotland...?

you would not believe the weather we have had this year, we had no rain at Nairn till April and they only the odd shower at night. temp wise pretty good up in the 20's and a few days high 20's at that.

Last time i was down south for work at the beg of June, people where asking me where i had been on Holiday;)

I have family in N.I who have been saying the same, lots of warm days, still plenty of rain though :-)

Use to leave it on when I held the putter firmly. Now I hold the putter very lightly and found much more feel with the glove off.

On for the whole round.

People who take them off are just copying what they see on TV or have been conditioned into thinking it is right. Makes no difference whatsoever.

Unless its hot and its wringing wet with sweat after 8 holes. I leave mine off for putting because i think i look cool with it hangingout of my back pocket, it makes me feel like tiger woods.

being serious, I take mine off after every shot, use putting it back on as a trigger to focus on the next shot. (ready to be shot down by the low handicappers, but i dont care. it works for me)

Wrong. I take mine off after every shot and not because what I've seen on TV (I rarely watch golf on TV anymore). I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone say it's right or wrong either.......except you.

Neither has in any way influenced me taking my glove off. I think originally I may have started to take it off between shots to avoid 'white left hand'. And would take it off if it was raining. Now it is also something to do if play is slow. And as far as it not making any difference? Why wear one then? Does it make a difference when I'm putting? Yes - but only because if I have not taken it off I am aware of that and it can distract me.

I take my glove off between shots, as I find it's a useful way of beginning to focus when I put it back on.

However, I never wear a glove when hitting an 8iron to SW, or when putting. I believe I get more feel this way, but while I'm sure it's only pycho-sematic, I don't care, cos it works for me.

And that's what golf is all about to my mind; keeping things simple and doing what works for me.
