Not sure if this should be in Ask Experts or here, so feel free to move this thread.

36 pts today, not too bad really, except it featured a soul destroying 6 three-putts. It's no wonder people comment that my swing doesn't match my handicap. I know it's been asked a million times already, but who knows some good putting drills, tests, games etc I can use to help sort this.

Specifically I'm thinking of some technique related drills I could do at home, and some putting green drills and tests for when I go up to the course. I do have a V-easy - some time with that I'm sure wouldn't hurt.

All over really. Leave one short then overcompensate by running the next one long on the next hole. That's another thing that would be good in a drill. Anything that can be used as an assessment tool.

Doing this drill (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4rhDXEFh2no) in my living room has improved my putting massively over winter.

Although it doesn't directly help with distance control, I find it's helped me a lot. The reason being that I'm so confident of holing a 3ft putt that I go at longer putts far more confidently knowing that if it doesn't go in I've got a great chance of sinking the next one and as a result I hole a lot more of the longer putts than I used to, and the ones I miss are closer to the hole than in the past.

I'm not the best putter in the world, but I've gone from being the very worst to somewhere in the middle and it hasn't taken much effort at all (10 mins putting a day, max) to save 3 or 4 shots, maybe more, per round.

Just get out and practice!

I did, however, find a couple of Bob Rotella putting drills pretty helpful - from 'Golf is not a Game of Perfect' I think.

Setting 6' 9' and 12' marks and then putting to those distances with eyes closed was one that stood out. And the spiral out, restarting if you miss is 'good' too.
