Hi,
Dose everyone know wither their putter is face balanced or toe balanced and do they know which suits they’re putting stroke best. Just asking as I was having a few putting difficulties in the last couple of weeks and decided on a new putter where the guy in the shop who really knows his stuff said I needed a face balanced putter he then tried to sell me the cheapest one he had in the shop one from the MD golf seve range, but I had seen a Scotty in another shop the day before second hand so got that instead the 2 rounds since i have putted great espically on 10 foot in.

I havnt a clue what mine is,ive been chopping and changing lately have now settled on a ping anser seems to be ok.The most important thing is be confident and believe its right and plenty of practice.

Straight back straight through is more suited to face balanced putters. Opening and closing stroke is better suited to toe weighted putters, with the amount of toe weight/hang depending how much you like to open/close.

Exactly as ethan has said with this to add.....If you tend to grip in the fingers like your normal grip then a putter that opens and closes on the stroke (toe weighted) is supposed to be the weapon.....If you grip down along the centre of the palm then a face balanced putter should be the weapon of choice but there is no set rule to these....Everyone is different and putter choice is a very personal thing......Even Padraig Harrington has said that his putter choice doesn't match his putting stroke....But it works for him.....

Well i've got myself a No1.

This time i'm going to chip it, engrave it and alarmm it.

Just hope it was worth it as I putted like a pro this morning.
Pity about the two train wrecks that destroyed what would have been a score that put me in with a chance of the prize
