Went down the local golf store with outdoor green and decided to put my putter up against the Scotty Newport 2, no contest in feel and looks, but still, similar results!
Decided to then test almost every putter they had and WOW, the TM Spider S is HOT!! Was after a traditional blade, but the good ones were good, but when it's ever so slightly off, it's hard to get the ball in the hole!
The TM was just dead on every time!!!!
Any users?

Any users?

Tried a few in their various guises and some have been pretty good.

Seems like that particular putter is THE ONE for you!

I tried the space station in a few of it's various guises, but only ever owned on.

The only one I owned was the Spider Vicino which was a fantastic putter

Then TM moved away from the AGSI+ insert to the Pure Roll insert which I didn't like.

Shame really as I though the AGSI inserts were pretty good.

I tested the tm versus my odyssey #7 it's an amazing putter but I couldn't justify the money

Although I'm very happy with my odyssey#7 at the moment

how far could you hit them? I can hit my putter 40 yards + with the wind with me

i changed from my odyssey to the spider ghost, basically the same putter just with slighty different alignment marking and a few shillings cheaper!

I've just bout a spider s (the one that looks like its off Star Wars)

I'm currently loving it although I've only played one round with it so far

I had the original itsy bitsy incarnation and loved it but I couldn't brig myself to keep it in the bag. Idiotic pride made me take out as I thought I should be a blade putter. The Anser was misbehaving and went to the #9 originally with the white insert and then the current milled model. I do like the stability of the spider but could I get over the looks again. Not sure

Try it again now you've gone substance over looks on irons why not putter too? :)

Yeah, but man the Scotty is sweet. Just not £240 sweet

I tend to think we get a bit mixed up when it comes to splashing out on putters and wedges. The scoring clubs are used so much more than a £250+ driver which most people (not all I appreciate that before I get shot down) seen to accept when splashing out.

Elliottale, I know nothing about you or your finances etc but looking at your signature you have a good bag set up which would have cost a pretty penny if it was bought new. Your driver was £200+ when it was new, if you bought it new. Given you will use a £240 putter more than double what you'll use your driver is it really not worth the £240 price tag considering your own description as being "man the Scotty is sweet"!!!!!

I've quite often said this.

People will happily spend £200-£300 on a driver that they use on a selet few holes, then skimp on a club (Putter) that they use on every hole.

I am a convert to TM putters, I've got the Manta Ghost the head is the size of a spaceship but it rolls so wel and never had a putter that a) feels so good in the hands, b) rolls so well even on off centre hits and c) fills me with so much confidence.

Wouldn't swapp it for anything at all and i've tried so many putters its rididculous

Yes very true!! Ok, I might just go down and see if they have any Scottys for £40 in the bargain bag, haha (or that's what I can tell my fiancé)

Bought a second hand Taylormade Daddy Long Legs last week. Have to say the counter balanced putters all felt so stable but the DLL just was so good on off centre hits. The head is almost the same size as my driver but if it saves me a couple of shots a round then all is good.
