Putter question

I have a taylormade white smoke in-12 putter. It is toe weighted. However I putt with the toe facing up, would this cause me to pull my putts?

What putter style would be best for me?

My pro says that I should try and putt with the toe pointing down, however I have tried this quite a lot since and feels very uncomfortable.

It won't help; if the toe is up then the face will be aligned left. How far left will depend on how far up the toe is and how much loft the putter has. Whether or not it is all of the problem is another matter.
