aaaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh.

Own fault, hurrying to get to the tee at Brandon Wood (coventry's muni) and hadn't noticed my putter hanging out of my bag which it has a tendency to do as I have a double strapper. Get to first green - DOH!

Race back to car park, nowhere to be seen of course. Most annoying is I know who took it, but not who they are, and nor have seen them before, but they were parked next to me putting their stuff away, hard to believe they didn't notice.

Just on the off-chance it ends on e-bay and anyone sees it, it's a Taylor Made Monza Corsa, that's been cut down to 31/32 inches, and re-gripped with a pink Odeyssey grip :o

Thats the pits.

ame happened to me at the K Club last summer, left my wedge on the 16th green, when back after my round club missing.
Asked all groups behind me if anyone found the club but they all answered in the negative.

I couldn't think of anything worse than having something deliberately stolen from my golf bag. The fact you know who it was would frustrate me even more - I take it they had gone when you did get back to your car? Tell the club who they were / what car they drive on the off chance someone else knows them. Also just keep an eye out for them in the future as they may well turn up again.

Sorry to hear the bad news though.

Sometimes people find clubs on the course and pop them in their bag to be handed in at the pro shop.
The problem is they forget, go home and it's not until the next time they play they find the club in their bag.
I'm not saying this is what has happened to your putter, but you never know. Keep asking at your pro shop for a few weeks, you never know.

*********.

Sorry to hear that I really am.

If you need a putter in the mean time, I have a wilson deep red 2 in my locker at the club I aint using. Just needs a grip throwing on.

this is the truth, I found one today at my local club gave it to the pro at the end of my round. And he knew straight away who it belonged to.

Don't want to put you on a downer even more, but what the hell possessed you to play at that s***t hole.

Look on the brightside, you can now go out and buy a nice new Sabertooth!!!

A friend of mine came to play golf one day at my old club. He parked his Powakaddy trolley and bag outside the pro shop which contained a full set of i10 irons Titleist driver,G10 3 and 5 wood and Scotty putter. He popped into the changing room for 2 mins to change his shoes. When he came out, you've guessed it.........gone.
He had a great time chosing his Raptures when the insurance money came through :)

Surprised insurance paid out, most of them would of squeezed out and said you shouldn't have left them unattended.

They tried to wriggle out of paying, but he reasoned he couldn't take it all inside with him and changing outside was not allowed. Phew :D

Yes Phew for sure because that happens at about 9/10 clubs doesnt it.

That reminds me, I need some insurance.

I always do the changing shoes thing first then get my kit out of the car.
Even 30 seconds is too long to leave my clubs out in the cold, all alone in this bleak bad world!!

I am in the bad habit of changing my shoes in the car park. What harm does it really do?

I am house trained though, so away from home I go with the flow.

I'm with you murph.

As I don't belong to a club. When I arrive at the club I'm playing. Clubs out, shoes on, Pro shop, putting green then too the 1st tee.

The clubs are never out of my sight 9 times out of 10.

Well, no one came on the course after me last night, so I expected the worst.

However, I was gobsmacked tonight, went back, and a greenkeeper had found it in a bush on the 18th. So someone took it home, came back today and played with it, then flung it away on the 18th

Astonished tbh, but equally just glad to get it back. :D :D

I've had an absolutely horrible March in so many aspects, losing the putter was small beer by comparison, but just summed the month up, maybe April has brought a change in fortune
