I'm currently thinking about changing my putter to an Odyssey 2 ball Fang with a superstroke grip. I tried one out the other day and I really liked it. I felt a lot more comfortable and confident with it. My misses were more far more consistent than with my current stick. My question is, are there any other 2 ball putters I should look at and try out?

My advice would be to find a shop that has the ping fitting putter and have a play around with it so you know what length or lie angle you want. Its just a standard anser where you can pull the shaft to different lengths and move the lie around. The vast majority of players should not be using 35" putters as they are too long and don't allow the arms to hang properly.

Even better would be to get fit but for it to be done well uses kit that is nowhere near as common as normal launch monitors and from what I've seen is quite dear.

Otherwise I would just go with what you like, just make sure you consider length and lie.

Surely in regards to an extra inch on the putter it's not going to make a difference to your average handicap golfer.. Plus is it not all relative to how high/low you actually grip the putter? Some may play 34" and grip the putter higher than someone playing 35" always seems to be alot of variation as to where people actually grip the putter if you look.

Put it this way, tour avergae is somewhere near 33.5" and they are relatively speaking taller than your average recreational player.

I got a shorter putter last year (either 32.5 or 33 can't remember) and it has made a huge difference to my putting. Now when I try a 34/35" I can feel that my arms aren't hanging comfortably as opposed to the shorter one.

Probably not for everyone but has really helped me.

Depends what "feel" you want...
The White Hot are soft soft soft....
Original DFX is much firmer
The rest are variations in between
I have a milled face ProType as I don't really get on with inserts.
The type of ball you use influences the feel as well...

What are your usual greens like? Heavy firm putters might suit faster smoother greens where lighter softer putters might help touch on slower greens or rougher greens.

Excellent, I'm simply saying an inch on a putter to your 'average recreational player' is neither here nor there alot of the time.

I must admit that I do like the soft feel of the White Hot. Currently playing with Pro V1's.

Our greens are always in great shape. Pretty quick throughout the year, but even more so spring summer time.

I have this putter and love it. As always it's a personal thing but the two ball really helping on the two footers to take it back and through and love the metal face insert and the thicker grip. If you like the look of this one and feel confident with it, I'd go for it

Thanks for all the advice folks. I'm going to have another try out this weekend. However, I putted better than ever last night with my current putter! Just tweaked my technique slightly. I still do feel a little wristy so I'm thinking of fitting a superstroke on current putter to see how I get on.

Sorry to be a bit late with this, but if you haven't already got one sorted try out the Cleveland Smart Square. Same principle as the 2-ball but with squares instead of circles. Made it easier to line up straight when I had a play with one.
