How do you practice hitting the ball then the divot after at the range? Well it's pretty tough. Almost impossible?
I've been thinking for a while and noticed some ***** mats and a couple with some really sawn off tees about 15mm high. I started hitting a few shots off these and bingo. Strike ball then follow through to brush mat (arc finishes after ball is hit) and you've got yourself a text book way to practice the proper strike. You also know if you hit it fat as the tee twangs.
I've played on the course since and hit some text book strikes that I am so pleased with!!
