Public Course Championships

Back from my weekend in Scotland playing at the UKPCC final in St. Andrews, Eden Course.

33pts and 7th place in Div 1 about 12th place overall. The course was great and the weather outstanding.

A chap from Div 3 won the overall net comp with 42pts playing of 28.

All in all a very enjoyable golfing weekend and quite relieved that I didnt disgrace myself.

Out of interest - do your weekends normally finish on a Tuesday evening?

We didnt get back until Midnight last night. A number of us qualified from the same course so we made a golfing weekend break out of it. We stopped off at Hillside G.C. on the way home.

St. Andrews is a bloody long way, 1000 mile round trip!

Not for me it isn't. 30 minutes drive!

Drove up Friday, played the Eden Saturday as practice, Eden again Sunday for real, and then played Hillside in Southport on the way back down to break the journey up a bit.

We entered the ballot for the old course on the Saturday for Monday morning but didnt make it.

Hopefully will get up there again some day to play, you're a lucky man living that close.
