Morning all

I'm organising a pub crawl pub golf style for my birthday and just wanted to hear some people variations or tips for planning it out. I know it will end up a drunken mess but I'm putting together cards with course planner so need to plan.

I'm having it over 9 holes (played in 7 pubs I think) plus I want to have nearest the pin and longest drive challenge which will be some sort of shot or quick drinking game.

From the god that is wikipedia I'm happy to play the rules that the PAR for each hole is the amount of gulps it takes. Also using the water hazard rule on holes which means no toilet.

Anything else I can chuck in or any variations?

Much obliged.

Passing the ladies tee. Down a pint, if you don't make it half way you have to drink the rest with your trousers round your ankles. Might not go down too well in some pubs though!

Speaking as a Door Supervisor I hate this type of groups coming into my venue. Seen so many of them going wrong.

Thats why we hold ours in our local drinking grounds as we know all the pub folk :)

Also we're in an area that doesnt need to be patrolled by doorman as we sort it out ourselves :)

I always have allocated drinks for each pub of the following:

Anything from the tap (pint)
Anything from the fridge (bottle)
3 x shots of any spirit, except the 9th hole which is always 3 x tequila or 3 x sambucca

Means people who don't like beer, but want say cider can still play. Also means people can stick to bottles of beer or mix with alco-pops. I also repeat the above combination 3 times so you're effectively drinking 3 pints, 3 bottles and 9 shots in 3 hours.

Left handed / Right Handed holes - i.e. can only drink with that hand

I always have a 20 minute time limit per hole

Penalty "shots" can be given if people break the hazard rules etc.

We always go out with a tee tucked behind our ear, once per pub anyone can shout fore (must have finished their drink), last to place tee upside on a surface must do a shot if their choosing.

would appreciate a "course plan" and a "tee times list" so I know where and when to avoid :)

Have a good un mate and we must get a game sorted with your old man

20th July basically the whole of stony stratford high street ;)

And yes we really do need too. Sunday 21st April is only weekend I'm off, but with me finishing at 3:15 now, we could squeeze a game in one afternoon if we cross diaries
