Clutching at straws a tad here but my wife suffers from the above.

This is mainly on her back but is slowly spreading.

Been to the doctors and realise there is little that can be done but just wonder whether there are any fellow suffers and whether anybody has any recommendations which have worked for them?

Many thanks

I had it for some time and stress was a contributing factor. When I brought that under control along with some steroid cream treatment it completely vanished. Not sure if this is a factor with your Wife though.

I suffer quite badly, the doctor and dermatologist both prescribed the same medication which didn't help, i currently use 151 creamy petroleum jelly, it makes my skin softer and less dry, but what works for one may not work for another

I wasn't going to mention it because I get it when I'm really stressed at work but probably nowhere near as bad as most.
I use Diprobase cream to help when appropriate.
But reducing the stress is the main thing.

sometimes sunbeds only for minimal amount work. Best thing is to find a consultant rather than a GP, could be Dairy products or any number of things. Seek professional advice, we'll have your Mrs putting Low Cal cooking oil on or rubbin it with the scales of a tench.

Good luck anyhoo, I have family who suffer terrible, only when they go on holiday to warmer places does it calm down

Suffer a bit as a side effect of arthritis; steroids, moisturisers, good diet and sunlight all help. Sometimes it's just rough for no reason at all! Worth getting the opinion of a few specialists if possible from my experience.

Go swimming in the sea. The salt water is a great healer. Keeps mine at bay.

My good lady swears by Deadsea mud. She gets it of the tinterweb. Not sure meself how effective it is, because she also has a steroid cream for flare ups, and does yoga for the stress thingy.
Still, if its from the Deadsea it must be full of salts and minerals. You never know.:mmm:

If she thinks it works, thats good enough for me, quite attached to me plums.
