My gaming expert advises it can vary greatly depending on which game and your broadband speed...

Is it the full game or just the update file (did the game come on a disc?) They can take a while, especially a full game. Leave it on power save mode overnight is my usual way of doing it.

Depends on size, if its in disc format of digital download disc will be faster as its your processor doing most the work if its digital DL it will depend on broadband speed

Game came on disc , it seems the update is taking a age, I also think my internet is not that fast. I normally leave over night (which I did on this one) it has now got 3 hours left.

Mine often says it has 3 hours left, but then after an hour it might suddenly jump to the end. The estimate is not always accurate. So keep checking back and you might be in luck.
