Watching the golf at Wentworth and Warren is going back to the tee having put his ball in the trees. Do the pros not hit a provisional? I honestly can't recall having seen one hit a provisional.

They normally have spotters for their balls so they prob very seldom have to (golf balls )

Have seen one or two, but as you say not common

Have seen some hit one but with the crowds at pro tournaments it's very rare they lose a ball.

They tend to at The Open with the long grass but very rare around Wentworth or other tour events

as above, there is no need. apart from the open. i dont think i have ever (televised) seen a provisional.
