ProV1 v New ProV1.......

Just had a wander round my local AF, when in popped a chap to ask if he could swap 3 sleeves of the New ProV1's back for the previous version, as he really didnt like them.
Said they arent a patch on the older ones (Gold Box), much harder apparently.

Isnt this something to do with Titleist using a Bridgestone patent or something, and having to pay Bridgestone for every sleeve sold, hence the new version coming out ?

Seems we need to stock up, whilst they have the old version for £31/dozen.

Apparently a lot of the pro's are not convinced by the new Prov-1 at all and Titleist have only got a few weeks supply of the old ones.

Could see a big change in ball usage over the summer.....

I don't think it'll make a blind bit of difference to us - I doubt if we could tell them apart in a blind test.
