Can anyone who has used both please tell me what differences you have found between the both? I have looked at titleist website but would like a user to describe

have both in the bag and couldnt tell any difference between either mate , i think you have to be a very good golfer to do so ..

just my honest opinion and i only use Titleist balls

not imo no, the normal proV1 spins more with the wedges

ok great i always liked pro v1x but got 5 boxes of pro v1 today. going to sit on them until summer and use my grade a through winter, after using pro v1x i just dont like the feel of nxt tour.

Find the X a bit less responsive around the greens when chipping and feel it goes off the putter face a bit quicker.

Seem to get more spin of the normal Pro V

Always use Pro v 1 apart from when it's frozen and use a bright yellow Z Star

I played the Pro V1 for nearly 2 years up until October when I decided to try the Pro V1x. Which I now prefer (hence me shifting my stock pile of V1's on here the other day)

In terms of 'feel', when struck with an iron or wood. Sounds the same feels the same. The only feels difference I have found is off the putter where it does feel a little firmer.

The main difference I have noticed since moving to the V1x is that my ball flight in general is a little straighter and a little higher. I can still hit a booming slice when I get it wrong, but all in all a little straighter.

I don't appear to have lost much, if any distance, so I'm going to stick with the V1x.

I absolutely, catergorically can't tell the difference. I like using them both.

Teeing up a prov1, fresh out of the box. on a long par 4 with water on the right and OB down the left, is buttock clenchingly satisfying!!

I prefer the V1x over the V1 for the very sad and idiotic reason that I prefer Titleist in Black and the ball number in Red. Both being Black on the V1 just doesn't look right!! :fore:

My understanding was that the Pro VX creates less spin off the driver while creating good control on the green while the Pro V1 offers a softer feel with ultimate spin control.

Basically the Pro VX is a premium distance ball while the Pro V1 is an all round high spin ball.

I find the X to be firmer and more durable but prefer the Pro V1 out of the two, however out of the premium balls I generally opt for the Callaway Hex Chrome and Srixon Z Star as I feel they offer better value for money and similar performance for mid to low handicap players
