One thing I hate to see is a pass made with the outside of the foot, rather than with the so called "weak" foot.
This type of pass is weak with no power or pace to it and is easily intercepted.
I like to see a player who can use both feet as this makes the player less predictable, it gives them for time on the ball and they are really pleasing on the eye.
I know there have been so called world class players who are 1 footed, Maradona, Messi, but I preferred/would rather watch the likes of Glenn Hoddle, Wilfred Zaha, Adam Lallana, Jamie Vardy

youd rather watch Lallana than Messi, do me a favour, April 1st nearly 3 months away

Fair point he makes, can't see them Argentinians amounting to much compared to them English lads😃

Completely agree that its baffling so many professional footballers can barely kick with their so called weaker foot.

Never mind that. Remember when proper footballers could take a tackle without falling down like they've been shot and rolling round the floor like a baby!

you aint wrong Ste, bring back the early seventies ,when the likes of Billy Bremner and Norman bites yer legs Hunter and Ron chopper Harris were playing .the fairies of today wouldnt know what hit em.

I was with you until the last sentence. Zaha?? He doesn't have control of the ball when he's running with it, he's exciting but the ball is never in control.

So-called world class? Maradona? Interesting.

Funny how Jamie Vardy is now the greatest player since sliced bread but nobody had heard of him a year ago. I'd rather watch Messi over the likes of Lallana every day of the week. But I suppose if the media keep telling people that the PL is the best league in the world and the players are world class then people will believe it.

True. Lalana's a decent player but he ain't no Messi.

Surely this thread is a wind up, no one can honestly say that they would rather watch Vardy and Zaha over Maradona and Messi.

Also not sure you can have a thread about two footed footballers with out mentioning Santi Cazorla, he is truely gifted with both feet. I am still unsure which is his strongest foot, I suspect it's his right as he tends to take penalties with his right but I've seen him hit free kicks and corners with both.

Cazorla is the most two footed player i have seen in recent years. Incredible with both.
Yet you have a similar played in David silva. which one would I rather watch. Silva all day of the week.

OP is just ridiculous. I agree that the trend is now one footed but come on seriously :)

It's a crime when a player runs into the box and tries and tries and tries and then fails to get the ball on to his stronger foot, when in the first instance he could've hit it with his weaker foot. Hell how bad could it be, worst case the ball goes out or is saved, best case he scores or gets a rebound which falls to potentially to a team mate.

I'm strong right footed and give me a dead ball situation and I couldn't kick the ball with my left at all, it would like stupid, but when I played a school and 5-a-side in later years hitting a moving ball with my left was not a problem.

Ditto this. One footed players indeed. If I were managing a team I would buy a player who only uses one foot. Playing as a defender must be a doddle. Once you know which foot they use don't let them turn onto it...simple.

Must be me, but I think the skill level required to play some of those long passes or shots with the outside of the boot is amazing. It certainly brings in some mystery as to which way the ball is going by the oposition.

Without wanting to be over pedantic, with either foot, I'd say.
