Does anyone notice any difference in V1 and V1x. If I do an online fitting on the Titelist website, it gives me V1x and V1. Last year I bought 6 doz of V1s as they were on a deal. Still havent run thru it (as I had few others).

Last month, I found some V1x sleeves during garage clearout. Put them into play, and I must say that the V1x go longer for me than V1s. Does anyone else feel that? I am told that I generate a lot more spin with Drivers & fairways.

edit: Other than the ProV1s/x, my all time fav ball is a Srixion AD333 followed closely by old Taylormade Penta 5s.

Nice write up and test in mag this month.
X is slightly harder higher flight with less spin off driver.
Comes down to personal choice really

I've been gaming V1's since day dot and really like them. I then found a V1x (whilst hunting for my V1) and played it and have to say I liked it even more! Less spinny with driver, but still with great spin and feel on short irons, chips and putts.

So next dozen I buy will be V1x's for sure.

I tend to find the V1 can be a bit spinny for me from the fairways and driver , not so bad when its still but i prefer the v1x if its blowing. I've not noticed a lot of difference between the v1 and v1x on shorter irons though the v1 definitely feels softer and marks up quicker

Cant tell the difference me and all is use are pro v .. chop n change that much they seem the same ,

Honest answers i don hit the ball consistently well enough to notice

pretty much the answer for the majority of club golfers

you can clearly discern a difference between the 2 just bouncing balls on a clubface.

the technical differences are well documented, and touched on in posts already

the practical differences will vary with individual golfers - and may well be masked by other aspects of players swings/impact conditions (as also touched on).

my personal preference is for the x, but I am happy to play either (or a whole load of others)

Directly from Titliest website ....

Since you will only hit 14 drives per round, prioritising a ball with the longest distance off the tee will not necessarily help you lower your score. All Titleist golf balls are long and driver distances between each model are within 4-6 yards of each other, regardless of swing speed. Playing a golf ball that provides the best scoring performance will help you shoot lower scores.

Personally the difference of 4-6 yards is more likely my swing than the golf ball !!

TBH i use the Pro V 1 and X purely for how it feels off the putter and short irons. If its windy i prefer the X as i find it goes though the wind better off the tee, but much of a muchness really.

best feeling ball to putt with without a doubt.

I use Prov1x and love them.
I have tried ProV1 and hate them - just feel like hitting a lifeless heavy marshmallow.

I've used all of the titleist range over the last 12 months, I have found the prov1 to be the standout ball for my game (from their ball range) and have noticed a difference in my approach and short game.

As a high handicap player I didn't think I would notice the difference but I could see and feel it (maybe just in my mind!) for me having more confidence around the greens and from 90 yards in helps and the prov1 gives me that.

Had used Wilson Staff DX2's for some time but got a box of V1X's as a Christmas present last year and have to say I seem to score better with them than the DX2 but cannot put my finger on any reason for that.

Decision looming as I have any two three X's left so it's buy or revert to DX2:whistle:
