Dear all,

I've just bought my day ticket for the Scottish Open at Gullane and I actually can't wait to get in about and see how the game's supposed to be played.

Thought it would be a good chance ask about your best days at pro tournaments and how you like to spend it.

I'm lucky enough to have been to 3 Open Champs (Muirfield when Ernie won, Royal Troon and St Andrews a few years back) and the race to Dubai 2014 finale when Henrik took the spoils on the day, though Rory won the overall.

I generally like to hoof it around early doors seeing as many groups and as much of the course as I can, then finding a good spot in a stand for the dying hours of the day.

Depends on the venue. Some are easier to move around on and others aren't Where I can move around and watch different groups I will but some places aren't so good and I'll pitch up somewhere and watch the marquee groups come through. Personally I'd normally try and go to practice or pro am days where the crowds are smaller and you can get closer to the action

Don't go anymore, been going to Wentworth for 30 yrs, but stopped this year, loved the match play as was back then, all the big players , not really anyone I want to see now, although still all great players, saying that, might give the Open a go one day.
