Is there any scope to increase inbox size? Even if there was a charge?

If the PM text was sent in the email notification then you could also do away with larger PM limits too, as users could effectiviely store their PM's on their email account .... I'm assuming that many people are effectively archiving PM's with useful info rather than needing the increased limits due to receiving too many PM's on a day to day basis.

You can download your pm's onto your computer and save them that way.

With the text being sent in the notification I doubt that would happen as the site works on hits and if you have to log in to read a pm then it is another hit for the advertising.

True, but since you need to login to send a PM (and hence reply to the one you read) then i doubt it would be a big hit on the advertising hit rates.

Exporting PMs to a CSV file or whatever is handy as you can store them on a document/excel sheet or whatever. That's what I did when organising weekends away here.

True Chris, but since the advertisers (and GM) must know that adblockers exist then they must also know that every web hit is not necessarily a view of their advertising too.

Many other very successful sites work very well when sending the text in the emails and I doubt the number of PMs being sent would seriously affect the overall advertising revenue, after all the guys using PM's are probably visiting the site many many times during the day.
