Prince Harry takes on the Press - Wise?

No just pointing out that a good point is cheapened by the Anti-Tory dig. There was no need for it, it’s not a political issue.
No you had a dig at me! You could of easily stated you disagreed with that line by the author, instead you made out I’d said it and your answer above simply clarifies you are still missing the point he is making.

I think the question is an interesting one as it asks is it wise, not is it correct. I fully understand why they are taking this course of action but two cases in the space of a week is perhaps not wise. It becomes a full on fight and I am not sure they will come out of it well, nor will their lives become easier.

I'm not sure why the phone hacking case has come so late, surely they knew about this years ago along with the others concerned?

My own view is they would have been better keeping quiet, not taking on the press, getting on with their engagements. The relationship between royals and the press is a balance of mutual needs and a behind the scenes chat between representatives would have been more advisable than an all out war.

Good luck to them though, the press involved in this are pretty contemptible.
That’s like keeping quiet about a bully.
That’s all the press are they try to intimidate people.

My question is who are all these people who want to know what’s in the letter?

You could well be right but they are taking the battle to 3 papers at once and that may not be wise, the point of the question. Perhaps one where they should pick their battles, take on one at a time. Doing all 3 is causing other parts of the media to close ranks a little and the titan gets bigger, the campaign against them gets stronger.

Please don't mistake my post for defending the media, it is about how you take them on. I'm certainly not saying I'm right, it's just an opinion/observation.

Your last point, the same people who buy the weekly mags full of tat, celebrity gossip etc. They are a mystery to me.

I'm all for them taking on the press. Unlike the man in the street, they will have the financial clout to do it. If the press has crossed the line, why should they be immune from prosecution?

Equally, Megan Markle doesn't help herself. For example, sending her security detail to ask members of the public not to take pictures of her at Wimbledon. And for the detail to ask members of the public to stop taking pictures, even though some of the people they asked weren't taking pictures of Markle but of the court as a whole.
