it's just not funny the amount of talented people being taken from us, loved prince although not a fan in the 80's he was bloody talented, ever see him play guitar in the george harrison tribute, amazing.

Yup. He was peerless in the 80s on record, the decades one true genius. After that he could do with a good editor some of the time. But as Elton John has just commented, and he has seen a lot of performers in his time, he was the greatest performer he had ever seen. And he certainly was the best I've ever seen by a long way.
