How does your club compare for food prices / quality.

as an example our club has just announced their new menu, they charge £7 for a ham sandwich which they claim to be inline with local pubs restaurants.

Not being bothered to check all around i compared to the nearest golf club who charge £3.65 for a ham sandwich.

How does your club compare and would you go these to eat if not playing golf and to be honest should your golf club be somewhere you think of taking your other half for a bite to eat?

Not a chance i'd eat there outwith playing

More and more I wont eat in it even when playing, prices are ridiculous (partly due to course being resort style etc)

Approx £15 for a burger/chips or simple chicken curry etc from lunch menu and that's the cheaper options, lots will cost more

First you have to define your ham sandwich!

Ours are doorsteps, come with a pot of coleslaw, a basket of chips and salad garnish ie a bit ott on the ham sandwich stakes but, on the other hand, relatively expensive if you just want a quick ham sandwich at, say, £3.50 - they charge around £6 which represents fair value IMO.

two slices of bread, meat. a few kettle chips on the side and a handful of salad both are about the same from experience

I outright rufuse to eat or drink at the belfry. Utter daylight robbery to charge £14 for a burger and a poxy pot of fries. £5:10 for a cider.!!!!! I'd rather chew broken glass

Ours is a members club and a great local facility, very happy to eat at what are very reasonable prices and would be prepared to pay a bit more to support it.
Don't actually eat out there other than when playing as aside from the basic cafe style food the catering is not brilliant.

over priced would be an understatement.... unlike the other club in nairn, very good affordable fare.

our place thinks just because Castle Stuart charges £10 for Burger we should as well

Don't get me wrong the food is very nice at my club, its just overpriced

The one thing that gets me about this kind of thing is they are really setting the prices for the day tripper, if this is the case why not give members a very good discount say 20-40% i know this will never happen but sometimes i do think members are an after thought at places like this

Very week priced - especially specials nights and curry nights

Can get two courses for £9.95 and the quality is very good

We do get a small discount for using card for payments, but I think this is to prevent shrinkage of cash rather than a perk of membership.

Belfry give us a discount? They'd steel the hole out my last polo given the chance

Had a bit of lunch today at our place. £3.75 for a big southern fried chicken breast with mayo in a bun with salad. Nice. Good value I think, Quite a lot of snack/quicker stuff around the £4 or just under mark. We also do regular Fish & Chip Fridays. A nice big piece of cod with a pile of chips for £6.75 Top value that.

To be honest i do think the food should be around this price, most people just want a bite to eat after a round and a snack and a drink for a fiver is surely not unreasonable

The food at our club is very reasonable and excellent quality. Sandwiches are £3 or less and you can add chips for £1.50, you get a full dish of home made, proper chips for that too!

Our Sunday lunches are great too, £9.95 for one course, £12.95 for two courses and £14.95 three courses. The food is so good that when we took my in-laws there for Father's Day they absolutely raved about it even though they've eaten at some really top notch places over the years, they can't wait to go back!

We had roast beef and yorkshire pudding, followed by apple pie and custard at your club last night. Very tasty and very filling !

Sandwiches are around £4.95 with a bit of salad and a few crisps, jacket potatoes start from £5.20 with one filling, burger is around £7.95 including chips. Small breakfast is £4.95, large is £6.50 or so.

We get 10% discount if we pay with a membership card.
