Feel your pain!

Hit 95 drives Friday morning at the range. Spent Saturday evening hitting plenty of drives around a very quiet course. Had a nice wee fade going. Looking forward to the comp on Sunday.

1st - decent but missed fairway left.
2nd - par 3
3rd - pull left tying to hit fade OOB
4th - weaken grip sliced on far fairway
5th - par 3
6th - pull left again into trees
7th - slice into far fairway
8th - par 3
9th - miss fairway well right

10th - par 3
11th miss right not by much
12th - miss right. Again not by much
13th - par 3
14th - miss so far right I am on the opposite fairway
15th - best drive, long bit of a draw but runs into left rough
16th - lost the head. Mad hook left OOB
17th - slice right into trees
18th - pressure on, no fairways hit yet. nailed it miles leaving pitch over water from first fairway of the day. Tried something silly and hit it fat into the drink. Doh!

Hard day at the office :swing:

Just shows how stupid this game can be somedays. I had a moment on the 8th at Spalding one day in a medal. Pull OOB left, pulled OOB left, toe ended one to the right into the pond. I then found myself a brand new sleeve of ProV1 out of pocket, stood with 350 yards to go into a par 5 playing my 7th shot. A few more shots later and I put a big fat 14 on the card.....lol

i will never work out how you can go from Rory Macillroy to Rory McGrath so easily, the back to be a super star.

Well played partner
:(

No idea if this was a friendly knock, practice round or a comp but serious question... why did you keep hitting the driver?

Have you ever considered starting a blog?

On the flip side, I only missed 3 fairways, and 2 of them where 6 inches in to the first cut, and third was so far left didn't even bother looking for it, but the rest of my game (so called :D) let me down. Oh well maybe next time

Dave

I was using the dustin Johnson method of wack it as far down there as possible and work from there. I got through the front 9 with 18 points. 3 pars to finish would have seen me buffer.I lost the head on the 16th tee after a putt for a sand save on 15 slipped by.
