Evening peep's. So today I played in my third north east winter alliance. as you can see my handicap is 20 inactive (alliance max is 18) but since the start of the summer I have spent all my time on the range and my local 9 hole( due partly to my 18 hole course going belly up) just trying to improve, so I have stayed away from counting tournaments to try and allow any changes to bed in, I felt last year that playing twice per week I just wasn't making any real advances due to putting too much pressure on myself and thinking that I should be getting better and better week in week out and didn't. I have only been playing for three years and I was wondering if any other newbies had tried this approach to bring on their game in a more relaxed environment than weekly comps. To be honest I wasn't sure if this would work and if you could see my first two cards (93 & 98) it didn't look like it had as there is no substitute for having a card in the hand. But today it payed off 77-18= 59!! :whoo: get in chuffed to bits. hope it continues next week.

Well done great round, nett 59!!! You will be popular :) I reckon you had better get rid off the 20 on your sig

Whee!

Wear that sombrero proudly!

Great shooting. Hope it does continue, but knowing golf everything what went right will just elude you next time and you'll be back in the mid-high 80s with no apparent reason why!

Frustrating piggin' game!

Well done that man!!! Brilliant score, take that form and run with it.

Bear in mind as previous post mentioned you won't shoot that every round, but also that score was not a fluke. That was an indication of how well you can play, it was you playing at your best level not above that level. Keep doing what you are doing and let the the scores fall as they may.

Great score, but forget about the net 59. A 77 is a 77, a number most of us could only dream of shooting! Now to keep it up ;) good luck!
