Can anyone advise if i leave the battery on charge until i next use it or charge it then disconnect it until i play again? Sorry if this sounds a bit stupid, but i've had the trolley 3 years now but recently had issues with the battery not going 18 holes and had the battery replaced, but now it appears it's doing the same again. Can you damage it by over charging?

I have just replaced my battery on a GoKart, was doing the same thing. Was advised to replace the charger too, sounds like it maybe a charger issue? the only other thing I can think of is maybe high resistance with wheel bearings etc.

I bought a Ring charger rather than the standard charger.

Generally, lead-acid batteries should be kept on a maintenance charge. Lithium are not so fussy, but ideally should be storage charged between uses.

A good lead acid charger should automatically switch to maintenance charging once the battery is fully charged. I use a Ctek charger which are considered one of the best.

i have had my golf bug for 10 years same battery and it to got sluggish,i let it run down fully then put it on charge till the green light came on,turned it upside down and shook it for a few mins.touch wood it has been fine since.

Cheers m8, what model do you use?

I have the MXS 5.0 because I wanted a charger that would do reasonably large car batteries too. I got it for around £55 by shopping around. they now do the same model but with a battery tester incorporated, which I would definitely have bought, had it been available at the time.
