hi guys , my approx 2 year old power bug digital sport trolley has always struggled going up hills and seems to be getting worse . I have a new lithium battery so thats not the problem.
I've emailed the supplier, but in the mean time i was wondering if anyone else has this problem and solved it.
I think the motor is under powered, i know they come in 160 watt and 200 watt but there is no markings to tell which one i have. thanks in advance.

I realise this isn't a very helpful answer but my powerbug is a little older than yours and has the old fashioned massive battery. I can't say that I have noticed problems going uphill with it, but when I did have a problem with one of the cables I found the company very helpful via e-mail communications.

Hope you get it sorted

Thanks Matt, hopefully they'll reply next week. My course has a couple of steep hills late on in the round and i have to help it up , but it never has been very powerful compared to my previous one. I'm hoping they have a more powerful motor that can be fitted. thanks for your reply .

Can you buy new batteries for them and if so how much are they? I'd be considering a new trolly (budget permitting of course) as it sounds like the motor is under powered to deal with particularly hilly courses. My GK is excellent on all types of terrain and I know members who play hilly courses with Motocaddy and they deal with uphill holes easily

Hi Homer, its a PowerBug trolley with a new lithium battery i'm using. So may have to buy a new trolley and the Go Kart will be the choice. Problem is my new lithy battery wont fit a GK, so i'll have to sell .

W,
I've got the same trolley as you and agree it's a bit under powered, but it's the battery ive had issues with, thinking about a lithium, any good?
The new battery didn't make any difference to the power , but it does last for more than 18 holes, how many more ??? i've never tried. My Powerbug has always been under powered on my course .
