I see Ian's grabbing the headlines....again, not for his golf needless to say, instead for his ludicrous attire -

Is he a style icon or just another numptie who realising he's not that great at golf tries to get noticed any way he can?....you decide!

must be the 2nd most talked about current golfer on tour after Tiger Woods - he's doing something right.

Would be nice to have his golf back up his "out there" appearance and sometimes it has - if he was to perform regular top 5 finishes I could imagaine people being more accepting of him.

He's doing no harm...

For those fisherman among you he reminds me of a very large Abu Toby lure.
Maybe someone could use him as shark bait??

GGGRRRR!!! Evert time I look at him I get irritated.

He has one those faces you just want to slap, his clothes are horrible and way over priced.

Dont know what he is trying to do, but he just keeps making an arse out of himself these last few months.

I really feel sorry for Poulter. Imagine packing all those clothes and only using 2 outfits. Thank f he's away home god knows what he'll be wearing at the master's.

Although I tend to agree with Madanfra's sentiments, the fanny is doing no harm. He obviously has to get attention somehow and at the moment his golf isn't getting it for him. #
Perhaps the better he gets at the game, the tamer his outfits will become.

If you were in charge of Cobra marketing, would you want to be associated with this? Yes there is publicity to be had but all the stories are based on what a melon he looks and how he missed the cut. I am all for character in the game but get your game sorted first before drawing all of this attention to yourself. Ironically, if I recall, the times that Poulter has played well have been when he was dressed soberly and sensibly.

mmmm , wouldnt be seen dead in his clothes but by the accounts ive read he's a stand up guy who always has time for the fans etc.

In 2007 he finished t13 at the masters, t27 at the open, t36 at the us open and t23 at the us pga so he is not that bad a player either, even if his stats look pants. He seems to work really hard at his game and has ambition.

Despite the fact he's a gooner, and that his clothes have come straight out of a pantomime, I have a lot of time for him. Its refreshing to see an ambitious player who isnt happy to be a run of the mill pro who is just interested in banking his cheque each week.
