Because of the size (length) you can't send it standard parcels so it defaults to Parcel Farce. I think they quoted me £11.68 to which I promptly walked back out and used a courier.
If you can keep the box length 1.2M or below then you can use Hermes and it's about a fiver tracked and insured.

A 78" shaft? I wouldn't think so. Even an uncut shaft is only around 48" at most.

i think the 2 meter claim was a little tongue in cheek... i would use parcels to go dude, they even collect it from your house, so you dont need to go and associate with the great unwashed in the post office queue.

Post office parcels have shot up in price, send a pair of golf shoes and it was about £8!!!

Regardless of the club I'm sending I always use Parcel Force and their Express48 service.

I've sold quite a bit of hardware over the last year or so and they haven't let me down one. I know experiences with them will obviously vary, but nothing but positives from me

Just shy of £12 gets you a 48 hour tracked delivery.

Thanks all- I was just checking in case there were any new cheaper alternatives to parcel 2 go. I always use them as Hermes are less than a fiver but it will most likely be Yodel I use for a tenner due to the 2 metre shaft.

myhermes - next day delivery for about £6 for golf clubs. Will even come and pick it up from you.

Not found a better company to ship golf clubs with yet.

Yes, I use them all the time. Cheap as chips. But every time I send a driver via Parcel2go.com, Hermes isn't an option because the box is too big- and that's a standard cardboard box from American Golf!!!

I have sent 3 drivers using MyHermes. If you cut the box down to the size of the driver and then just pack it with brown paper you can get it in undersize. The closest I came was a RAZR Hawk sent to NI which was 119cm... Scraped by.

If the RBZ is adjustable why not seperate the head and shaft so that they can be packed side-by-side? That will save a couple of inches surely?

Where do you get Hermes under a fiver unless you want no insurance over £50 and no signature?

Parcelforce have been my preference generally although Hermes have been fine last twice.

Always on the assumption the buyer has the appropriate wrench though ;)

(Unless you give them that too though)

In fairness Val, no one said under a fiver. I did say about a fiver as I think it's £5.20 which, in Fifeshire, is about a fiver ;)

As the seller... That's their problem...

It wasn't Yodel after all....... don't know what made me think that...... it was TNT.

Don't have the adjustment tool so I can't shorten the driver. Cost me about a tenner but they are picking up today.... can't argue with that service.
