We were out on the O'Connor course within a hour of arriving at the resort, so feeling a bit jaded like you do after travelling, The course is interesting with a lot of challenging holes, the only disappointment were the greens which were quite soft and slow, I was expecting fast greens but it seems there was a lot of rain yesterday, whether or not they will quicken over the next two days remains to be seen.
all the pairs have been given 2 bedrooms apartments each and they are stunning, far beyond my normal budget!
All the pairs are of similar handicaps, the better player of the 2 being between 7 and 10 and the other between 12 and 16. So there aren't a raft of shots being given.77We play an pair of 7 and 12 tomorrow so we will be getting a few shots. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Enjoy it and don't fret if we don't get an update til it's done.

PS get working on yer victory speech. Mind you have had plenty of practice 😁👍

Have fun and enjoy, these opportunities don't come around very often. Hope you win😃

Well we were beaten today, our opponents played off 7 & 12. The 7 handicapper played out of her skin but beaten us we kept things tight on the first 9, they went 1 up then we went 1 up and after 9 it was all square. We even halved a hole with birdies. Then I had my accident. I went to the loo by the 10th tee and as I stepped in the decking in front of it, one of the planks gave way and I went flying, I now have a sore ankle and cut knee, we had a rest while I got my self together and continued I was still hitting the ball pretty well, but I lost the consistency I had and we lost 5 of the next 6 holes.
In fairness I think we would have struggled to keep up with them regardless so the fall can't really be used as an excuse for losing.

A guy on a buggy came round here I had fallen and we showing hit the dislodged plank, all he did was lay it back down again, for the next unsuspecting victim.

So no Darren Clarke but we still have 4 days of unlimited golf!

Bad luck Louise, sore ankles ditto, it seems a golfers trait at the mo. Enjoy your time out there and don't beat yourself up. Try to play one of the other courses out there whilst on the lash me duck.

Well sods law, today in the battle of the losers I played the best I have all week. The winners were two ladies from RickG's old club Aldwickbury, lucky sods are playing with Darren Clarke tomorrow.
We all have tickets to go but as it appear both courses here are fully booked on Thursday and Friday I am going to see if I can get a game on the Faldo course tomorrow, although all the others seems keen on going to see Darren, but personally I would rather play if I can.

Played the Faldo today, very different from the O'Connor, quite up and downy, particularly the back nine, My one complaint was that I though the red tees were too generous on some holes.
