Hello all

Family of 4 plus 1 infant (seat required) - Thinking Focus Estate will be just about the rightr size

To you guys have any good recommendations? Dont want to book with a bunch of Con men

Thanks

David

I go to Spain every month, I use a comparison site called 'do you car hire' for car hire. They also cover Portugal too. Like most car hire excess waiver, extra driver etc can add up, so headline price isn't price you pay.

Earlier I used to just rent from the Ariport, but that's a nightmare. The queues are unbelievable and the prices too. A friend suggested me to look for local car rentals in Portugal. There are many and it might take some time to find them, but there is a local car rental http://rentmama.com who lists cars from many local car rentals at once.
But make sure you take pictures from all angles and fill out a damage report before leaving. Then on return take pictures again and wait for their confirmation that all looks good... And if you leave a depostit, do it with American Express if possible - they will protect you in case of unreasonable backcharge. But I don't want to scare you - it's not so bad, especially with those local car rentals. But it's better safe than sory, right? ;)
