I was just wondering from the thread a few days ago about this promotion, who from here has had a go on the overall Masters pool?

The pot is £140 so maybe 14 x £10 or smaller chunks? Minimum 14 though.

How many of those are from here, and I'll show you mine if you show me yours :D

I'm in a pot with only £70? and had these 8 choices:

Q1 - Bradley over Johnson
Q2 - Garcia over Poulter
Q3 - Donald over Els
Q4 - McIlroy over Rose
Q5 - Westwood over Scott
Q6 - Schwartzel over Oosthuizen
Q7 - Woods over Mickelson
Q8 - Harrington over Couples

Still not really sure what i have done!

(i removed my answers BTW!)

I remember seeing that one, but it's not the one I'm in.

My questions were....

Q1 - Best round of the week
Q2 - Numeric equiv to first letter of Winners surname (A=1, etc)
Q3 - How many non US in top 20 including ties
Q4 - How many previous major winners in top 20 including ties
Q5 - Howm many GB & Ire in top 20 including ties
Q6 - Winning score

I went into Masters day 1 and the total pool was £38 :(

Also in The Players Market at £2 and £5 but the pools are only at £32 and £35 respectively:(

I like the idea but the returns (if you win) arent looking to healthy for the £2 and £5 stakes

I guess it's because it's a new thing, and if it takes off the pools will grow. Obviously inversely proportional to your chances of winning :)

From your middle line that makes me wonder if there is a separate pool for each level of stake?

I managed £56.53 from mine. Happy days :whoo:

I don't know much about golf and even less about other things, so will have another go on the golf this weekend.

I think that's what I won so I guess we shared the £10 pool. I got the low round of the week right and played my joker on it. I was otherwise awful!

I thought I recognised the name as being on here.

I got the non-US in the top 20 right also 'rippled'.
If I'd read the rules about not going over the correct answer I'd never have gone 20+ in the alphabet question.

I didn't know that either! But then I didn't read the rules at all. I just went for low score of the week as I thought it was easier to predict. I will invest the money on further bets now and hopefully make it grow into a new set of shineys.

Great to see so many happy winners! We have had some fantastic feedback from our recent exploits into the golfing world, so thank you to everyone that played.

If you are sticking with us, we have a few golfing markets this Thursday, from the Bannatines Championship and from the New Orleans Open.

If you want something other than golf, we have Punchestown racing all week as well as the Champions League Semi Finals and plenty of other action.

Once again, thanks for all your support, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy our unique site!

A question for you.

When you select a pool from your pools in play that is currently in progress, do the questions with ticks next to them mean a final result for that question or just the current state of them?

Great question, we are trialing 'live updates' in certain pools, so some results will change during the match. The final settled results will show at the end of an event when the money has been distributed.
