Pool V Toon

Thoughts on tonight from being at the match, and seeing it on the telly since:-

Cabaye - ref only 8 yards away, couldn't see the leg-breaker tackle.

Steven Gerrard - my hero.

Demba Ba - his movement is fantastic, wish we had got him on a free, as I wanted in the summer.

Geordies - unusual for them not to bring a full compliment tro Anfield, only about 1800, not the normal 3,000.

Bellamy - he is the narkiest player ever.

Man city away next - going to be very tough.

Newcastle were too negative/cautious with only Ba up front and little if any support....thats Pardews decision.

Liverpool won comfortably ONCE our 2 defender messed up for Bellamys free kick (keeper and Simpson )

Our keeper Krul has been lauded as generally outstanding this season.......but for Gerrards goal he came out far too wide and it made it easier for Gerrard to score..nevertheless a fine finish from Gerrard.

Bellamys juat an utter tw*t......but still a great player.

Our support.....as far as I am aware we were only given 1,800 tickets.

Carroll was only effective once Gerrard came on..he crying out for quality crosses.

Demba Ba has been superb.......pity he hasnt got the top quality 2nd striker to back him up......and when hes away to Africa soon we are absolutely DONE FOR up front....as Pardew has openly admitted we will not be going in for a striker in January........Pardews done a great job,but he still Mike (FCB ) Ashleys puppet....an owner who is completely continually taking the pi*s out of the supporters.

Hi Liverbirdie

Yeah just checked and Newcastles allocation of only 2,000 was sold out WEEKS AGO.

44,300 your lowest crowd of the season.Sky TV and Friday night???!!!

Kev

Unusual, we normally give 3,000, although the local councils all over the country are cracking down on selected away supports if they are standing, obstructing aisles etc. We have been victims of it at Sunderland, Villa etc, where we have been given less tickets than previous years.

I thought so, never known you not to sell all your tickets.

Can we swap Ba for Carroll plus 20 mil? No, thought not.

Your fans must have been hoarse last night, 3 ex-players, 1 smoggy and a mackem, all to boo.
