Paul,

What are your current irons. They go miles and I wanted to check the lofts against mine.

Cheers,

Snelly the Centurion.

Hi Dave - it is always good to have a bad score now and again - because the next round is usually a lot better!!:) At least that is what I am telling myself after a poor show at the Berkshire on Wednesday - my iron play was awful - put myself in a lot of good positions but messed up everything from sand wedges in to long irons. So... those JPX 825s may not be long for this world - as it was all their fault and not the operator - Rick G is on his 16th new set since I bought them 3 years ago!:o. Catch you soon, Cheers, Paul

Sorry to hear that the AGS Berkshire event was not your finest hour. At least you can be assured of a good lunch there to ease the pain!

I played at the West Sussex on Saturday. 36 holes foursomes in their Invitation Day. It was fantastic and WSGC really is a top, top golf club. It was also in the best condition I have ever seen it so if anyone gets the opportunity to play there in the coming weeks then make sure you take it. A wonderful day out.

My golf was marginally better than at Bearwood but my putting was dreadful and made life for my partner a living hell! That said, I did win a prize - nearest the pin on the 6th. A 231 yard Ping Zing 2 iron to 6 feet! Lovely.

I checked your irons against my old ones and the 9 iron is two degrees stronger in loft in your set so no wonder it went a bit further! Nice clubs though. And I am assuming you are joking when you say that Rick is on his 16th set in three years? That can't be true?! :0
