My faithfull old Powakaddy is heading for its 20th year...a but like "Trigger's Broom!" I will start thinking about a shiny new one soon, but wondered how folk were getting on with the new "plug and play" batteries (the special shaped ones!)

Are they expensive to replace? How long are they lasting?

I got an email from Powerhouse golf this week with a special offer of £99 for their universal lithium one... I bought one 3 years ago and it's still going strong. I guess you could swap the connector an use this on the new trollies, but it would look naff!

My Motocaddy battery with its 5 year warranty lasted surprise surprise 5 and a bit years before dying. I now have a square one and a piece of wood to stop it moving, about half the price of a Motocaddy one.
