Played there today in their Turkey Shoot, what a cracking course, it was only a 12 hole comp so I didnt play the full 18 but what I did play I thought was great.

Played PGC in the spring and I agree, its a good course. Did you attempt to slide down the fairway of the par 5 or did you use the designated paths?

Heard nothing but good things about it, had the chance to play north of England golf tour event couple of weeks ago but couldn't swing time off work but it's on the to do list.

Me,Karl,Junior and StuC have booked in for the open on the 5th May.
Birchy also has 2 others interested plus himself.
A mini-meet in the offing?
I don't think full organisation is needed, but if people put up a request to play and every 2nd or 4th person sorts it, we could all get similar times. I think ours is 10.44, but Junior would have to confirm.
It is 4BBB format so basically a pairs comp.

I was invited by junior, to complete a fourball. I mentioned it to Qwerty on Saturday and Birchy on Sunday, and he has asked around since then.
As I said, if others post up they are interested, you just need one out of 2 or one out of 4 to collect the money and pay.
Unless you want to organise an official meet, Louise............

I'm going to get my £25 over to Birchy then we'll book a slot next to the 10;44.
I'm only about 10 mins from Pleasington, it's a nice course and a really good test of golf, play to handicap round there and youve done well.
They used to have open qualifiers there until 2 years ago, they've moved over to Clitheroe now for some reason.

Sorry guys can't commit to 5th may got home football fixture that looks at cert for 4pm Sunday ko, but thanks for heads up I notice all opens are on the BRS system for all there opens so may try the singles in July.

I'm up for this, I'll text my partner and get on it! Never played pleasington but play clitheroe often and believe they are very similar. Clitheroe has had the open regional qualifying over the last few years as they change the qualifying venue every 5 years or so, although I believe it'll be at clitheroe for the foreseeable future. I'll try and get the 11.30ish tee off time
