Please help with competition scores issue on howdidido

Hello, Im relatively new to golf so still getting used to scoring and rules.

I competed in a 2 day comp this week. Myself and another player both scored the same over the 2 days.
I received the email for howdidido telling me I had come 1st and the other player was second.
I then spoke to the competition secretary who told me I was 2nd. I explained that howdidido said that I was 1st but she was adamant on their system I was second.

Have tried to work out how it is calculated but I really have no idea who is right to be honest and don't understand how the clubs system is different to what howdidido are saying.

Which one is more likely to be correct and how is there even an inconsistency?

Whatever appears on howdidido comes from whatever is on the club system, nothing can be changed by howdidido. Your club should be asked to investigate.

Could be a divisions thing if the handicaps were very different. HDID may have assumed there were 2 divisions due ot the setup and the club only had one. I assume you may have lost on countback.

The handicaps not very different mine is at 29 and the other player at 36, I wouldn't have thought that was different divisions although I may be wrong.
There is a committee meeting this evening so hopefully this will be discussed then.

I accept that I lost on count back but just don't understand the inconsistency with howdidido or why they say I won.

Although HDID info is taken from Club2000 or Club V1, the 'tie breaker' process may be different.
Ask your club what it says in your Conditions of Competition.
