I mentioned on a previous thread, my brother in law has given me his set of mizuno mx-100. The only snag is that he's a giant and so the shafts are an inch longer. However, he says the lie angle is standard (which could explain why he didn't get on with them).

I've had a swing with them and they feel ok, so I'll see how I get on with them down the range before paying out to get them shortened.

However, is playing with longer clubs fraught with danger in terms of it permanently altering my swing to the point I'd always need longer club?

In terms of using them, what affect would a longer club have on my shots, ie, more slices, low trajectory etc?

Finally, the 9 iron's missing. Any recommendations for where to buy single clubs? None on eBay or golf bidder.

Cheers

Feel your pain I've always been missing the 9 iron from my ap1's

There's a place in the U.S that sells single irons, think it's called iron finder or something but They appear to be quite expensive so keep an eye on ebay

I've been looking for a 9 for my set for over 18 months now with no luck, even keep considering just trying to buy a beat up set for cheap and pinch the 9 from it but can't bring myself to spend £100+ on a whole new set

I'll be using my jack nicklaus 9 iron (which is shorter than my new PW!) for a while by the sound of it!
