Playing 36 holes at Littlestone GC tomorrow and just got this sent through email:

"The course is fully open, albeit some water still in some bunkers, the rest of it is perfectly playable and the greens are running smoothly. We are expecting some more rain this afternoon but it shouldn't cause too many problems as the course is very well-drained. By the way, electric trollies are ok to use, too."

Not feeling smug.....much :D

Will take some photos and post them on over the weekend. Anyone else getting a game in?

What a course!!! Used for county comps. Food's not much though by all accounts - might want to pop to the Sister club next door - Romney Warren.

My Dad is a member of the course next door.

Its fantastic - played there last October on a sunny and still day and it was memorable! Getting a bacon sarnie/coffee, 18 holes, back for sausage and mash (not my choice but all they were offering) and out for hopefully another 18 for £65. Offer runs until end of March and I would seriously recommend the course.

Don't mind a bit of rain, but the 40mph gusts predicted will make things interesting.

That's a great deal!!! I was considering joining as a weekend member as my folks live down that way.

Enjoy.

Littlestone is one of the nicest courses I've played. Usually in very good condition, and the greens are spot on.
Tough when the wind blows.
Last time I played it was during a really hot spell and what grass was on the fairways was burnt to a crisp and the course was bone hard. Christ that hurt your wrists if you took it a bit heavy....

Hope you have a great day

Good luck and yes I am jealous. Rain of biblical proportion predicted tonight and I really can't see my course being open at all this weekend. Supposedly playing the 4 ball better ball but torrential rain and gales forecast for Sunday. That'll be fun for four hours. Enjoy the day tomorrow

I'm due to play Saturday. Weather forecast says 6 degrees, that'll feel like summer after the last couple of months! :D

It's a 3-ball at the minute if anyone's desperate enough for a game to want to travel to Leicester.

Due to tee off at 9.32 tomorrow but its in the lap of the Gods as to whether the course can cope with the rain.
Not only that its going to be blowing a gale and flippin' freezing to boot!
Still - game's a game.

supposed to be playing 10am Friday and Saturday, Sunday morning too but expecting to be splashing around on a few fairways :p

Would love to get out and play but after playing three rounds of golf in about 5 years I’ve hurt my bloody shoulder a bit (work or golf??) and so are having a self imposed layoff which is very frustrating.
You can only putt so much.
Best of luck to all those who can play.

I'm going to try snow shoe-ing over our course tomorrow, I thing I've got a couple of tennis rackets in the loft that I can tie onto my boots!!!!
