First time I've played it. Going up there for 9 holes in the afternoon. Hopefully it won't be too windy.

Might have to take a few spare balls :)

Let us know how it all goes James ... and good luck!

Chris

Funny enough i am just watching some recordings of The Open this year - R St Georges definitely on my list tonplay. Hope the wind is with you and report back on the experience.

Well there was absolutely no wind whatsoever, but it was a bit foggy, could see clearly up to about 150yds I guess (there was only us on the course). We played the back 9 and just about managed to get round before it was too dark to play (the 18th was fun).

I played quite well... a few pars, couple of birdie putts missed, all the rest bogies apart from one double. Drove really well... was warned about the OOB down the right on the 14th and played a blinding draw over the OOB posts back onto the fairway. Caught 2 deep greenside bunkers (one being Thomas Bjorn's), and played probably the best bunker shot I've ever played that checked up nicely a few feet from the pin.

Very happy. :)

The course was in a great condition. Never putted on such amazing greens - kudos to the greenskeeping staff there. This has easily been the best course I've played. Next time we'll do the front 9 (and I can't wait), and hopefully there'll be no fog so I'll be able to see the course properly.
