Cant wait, only at a local p&p track with a beginner mate but desperately looking forward to it to be honest.

It is a fairly challenging course that I have played half a dozen times previously.

My Target? Well if I can break 100 after just over a month out I will be delighted. My PB on this track is 88.

Fingers crossed for a good game!

Not bothered yet Lewis what with being out of action, going to get my holiday out of the way at the start of June and then going to join up.

Dont anticipate getting much golf in before then as Im heavily booked up on the odd saturday I have off and got to get cracking in the garden when the weather gets good.

You been out much?

You may well be surprised at how well you play. Sometimes a longish break can be good for your game as expectations are lowered and you enter a more natural flow. Has it been a month without touching a club at all? If you haven't even been chipping / putting than granted scoring will be difficult (my short game goes rusty / disappears if I have as little as a week without practicing it, which is why it is often in poor condition!) however I think your long game, if you concentrate, will not be as bad as you think. This is what happened with me anyway, after a prolonged period without playing.

Good luck though, and enjoy yourself.

not really played ruxley 2 times shot a 88 then a 98 but nothing since then .. baby is due soon so staying close to home in next few weeks. considering the ridge my self later on in the year as i wanna start playing competetively!

MWJ - you never could chip and putt!!!!

Hope you enjoy it. Its good to see you back out there and getting some practice in for Lydd. Don't try too hard and enjoy it. Treat it for what it is, a practice round and don't get hung up on scores etc.

MVP & MWJ (do I need a 3 letter name?)

I am a new member at thr Ridge. I joined on their Silver scheme which entitles me to 7-day membership on a greenfees basis i.e. I paid £125 for the year which gets my membership, allows me to play in comps and gets me an official handicap, I just pay a reduced greenfee when I visit. Weekends are £24 for visitors, but I pay £17.

This suits me as my time for golf is not as much as I would like (who's is?) and I can't justify a year's membership fees to only play twice a month.

Anyway, good luck tomorrow john and maybe see you up the Ridge some time or even at the Range in Chatham.

Cheers
Molly

Good to see that you are back in harness M8. Don't expect too much - you might be surprised.

A friend of mine ruptured his achilles tendon about 6 months ago and played his first game a couple of weeks ago. Best I've seen him play in a long time. OK so his short game was very average but his mind was free from the many swing thoughts he usually had on the tee and he played well.
