Playing in Warrington

Hi

I don't get to play as often as I'd like as I'm in the armed forces. I don't meet many people playing golf as there's no point in me getting a membership so I never enter any comps. Hoping to find a few playing partners. I score in the low 100's I'm not to far off breaking 100 so I'm not to great but I'm not a slow player either!!

Just wondered if any of you played in or around the Warrington area and fancied a knock in August when I'm off for my summer leave??

Which end of Warrington are you? There are a few of us at Lee park in Netherley in Liverpool, but it is only 20 mins drive from Winwick road M62 junction. I'm on hols for parts of August, but the other lads may be available.

Podgster from on here is ex-army, I'm sure he'd look after you - and you can talk in squaddie speak, as unitelligible at times as Welsh to me.

Hope all is well. I wil gladly take you round Lee Park or even meet up for a knock when available as it will be great to have a decent chat as opposed to speaking with the uneducated civi sector (mainly aimed at Scouser TBH) that i now have to mingle with!!!!

What cap badge are you? I would say it doesn't matter, but it blatantly means how much of a slagging is going to happen both ways and open the conversation on the 1st Tee

Haha it'll be a one way slagging from you mate as I'm in the navy not the army!! I've experienced first hand what happens when sailors try and act the hard man infront of a soldier after a few drinks!! So ill keep my mouth shut! My brothers in the army he's a Cpl in the REME

I wish you'd flagged up you were in the Navy before we offered our hospitality!!!!

Inbox me your email/phone number pal and i'll drop you a line and then get in touch when you are home. Do you know your leave dates (although the amount of work you navy guys do you're probably feeling like you're on leave permanently) and we can possibly put a date in place already and i'll give some of the other Lee park guys (Liverbirdie, Scouser, Stu C, Garryinlondonderry - or something similar) to welcome you for a game.
