I see several members refering to playing in sunny destinations etc & wondered what the differences are to playing in the UK at 12 degrees to going abroad at 28 degrees & humid

What changes would be seen to general arc of ball-flight, direction, carry distance, stopping distance etc assuming the make of ball & golf shot was the same?

Thanks in advance

Its pretty easy to equate, imagine what it is like on a warm sunny day here and its the same there. If the course is well above sea level it will also aid the ball travel a little further.

cheers brendy, best I had this year was about 20 degrees and I notice with the recent 6-7 degrees weather that there's a good 10% lost on carry distance & maybe same again on run on (depending on actual ground for the latter of course)

I'm not a consistent enough hitter to know if the ball takes any shallower/loftier arc in flight so no idea if a high air temp makes any change in this

have to say i don't care about the ball flight, distance, run on etc - just prefer playing in warmer parts in my shorts & short sleeve shirt. that is, of course, when i can get away to soiuthern spain for the winter, which i can't this year!!

Playing in good weather is ace and the beer tastes better somehow. Ball goes further and the courses are generally in better nick which makes them more enjoyable.
