As above, I am playing one of the UK's best parkland courses. I havent played it in around 8 years and back then I was a qualifier for the regional part of the Ford Home Internationals and loved every second of it even when I blew my chances towards the end of the round.
Its not a massivly long course off the normal tees but only 2 par 4's are under 400 yards.
I played poorly yesterday at my home course, hit some good drives but poor putting killed the round. Belvoir (pronounced beaver) requires straight drives and while the fairways look wide (rough is short and thick and hard to get good contact with the ball) and the greens look flat are really very subtle. On the greens a straight looking 10 feet putt could still turn 6 inches and confuse the hell out of you but they are very smooth and cant wait.
If I get anywhere near my handicap tomorrow Ill be a very happy camper.

For anyone visiting Belfast any time soon, this has to be on your list of courses to play along with Templepatrick, Royal Belfast, Malone and a few others (including my home course Bangor GC)
