As the rain confined me to the range today my mind wandered to how many courses I've played other than my own in 2013 (so far)...

From memory I've played 18 courses for the first time and another 25+ rounds at courses other than mine which I've played once or twice before. So at least 40 rounds. Quite chuffed with that especially as the "first time" list includes The Old, New, Jubilee, Dukes, Duchess and Brabazon

Still time to add a few more...

I'm convinced it's made a better golfer of me too...

How many have you racked up this year?!

Having read that I thought 40 rounds away was excessive then counted what I have done, 37 and I had no idea! With that in mind I dread to think how much golf I have played this year!

I'd of been happy to near 40 rounds in let alone away!

Only a few but all quality new courses for me a paltry 4.
Ganton dukes duchess and hollinwell.

1st of all I'll say how disappointed I was when I read the thread after the title !!
But I thought I'd played a lot but not anymore after reading yours .
Total 79 rounds with 22 away but only 5 new this year

Planned on 30+ different courses this year, couple of injuries meant I only got to 18 different venues so far, of the new ones the ones that impressed the most were Peterborough Milton and Brampton Park.

 Heaven alone know how many times I've played there this year

Both those courses are pretty near to me and I have somehow managed to avoid playing both of them

Only 5 that I can think of. Two of those new ones for me, Gullane no.3 and the hirsel. Will try to get a few more in during the winter as it's the perfect time to play links courses and the green fees are a lot cheaper.

Greg, you and Steve are always more than welcome at Brampton and I'll happily sign you in - and join you :-)

Bob might even make up a 4!

Only 6 for me but two were for the first time, and in the case of Lake Nona probably the last time :(
Have some free tickets that I accumulated still to use as well for courses I haven't played yet, so still time
