I'm playing in a mixed Texas Scramble Competition this afternoon. My 'mix' four ball team comprises two lady academy members (having their first competitive outing on the course I think); the lady academy organiser...and me.

Any advice dear peeps? Lady organiser said to me (only half jokingly I think) "you'll have to really mess up some shots so as not to make the academy ladies feel useless, or down thinking that they could never be as good as you"

So perhaps there is a slightly more serious side to my request seeking advice :)

1. wear pink - obviously
2. don't ask them for distances from their DMDs
3. don't comment on your own shots (good or bad) and just accept their observations
4. black gloves go well with pink, and of course the pink castle tee.
5. if they want you to go first do so, if they want you to go last do so, etc etc
6. smile
7. pre-order a bottle of rose suitably chilled
